Toccata Intrepido (고학년 콩쿨악보-페달,손가락번호)-Dennis Alexander

Dennis Alexander’s "Toccata Intrepido"—which translates to "a bold and courageous toccata"—perfectly captures the confident and intense atmosphere that permeates the entire piece.
The introduction begins in a grand, slow manner.
From the fifth measure, the piece adopts a characteristic toccata-style, percussive rhythm that creates a powerful, driving momentum from start to finish. The key is to maintain a sense of relentless, forward-moving tension throughout.
With passages featuring rapid alternating-hand patterns, wide leaps, and bold accents, the piece offers an excellent opportunity for a performer to showcase their technical proficiency.
It is recommended as a competition piece for students at a fourth-year level or higher.
