The key idea behind this arrangement is how to recreate the original piece’s frequent extended chords—many of which contain five or more notes—within the limitation of a four-voice saxophone quartet.
When performing from printed parts, the tenor part has page turns placed during rests, while the baritone part is intended to be used as a three-page spread. The soprano and alto parts do not have any substantial rests, but page-turn points have been set at passages that can be played with the left hand alone.
Please note that cajón is also included in the reference video, but the score is for saxophone quartet only.
原曲は音が5つ以上あるテンションコードが頻出する中で、4声しかないサクソフォンカルテットでいかに再現するか、というのが本編曲のミソです。
紙で演奏する場合、テナーは休符で譜めくり化、バリトンは3ページ見開きで。
ソプラノとアルトはまとまった休みがありませんが、左手のみで演奏できる部分に譜めくりポイントを設定しています。
なお参考動画ではカホンも加わっていますが、楽譜はサクソフォン四重奏のみですのでご注意ください。
