“Take Me to the Beach”

A twelve-note scale and a metered sheet music isn't capable to express the sound of “Take Me to the Beach” with its layered vocal and digitally generated inflections.

The track is an atonal piece and transcribed in the key of C Minor. The chord change is static: there is no sense of progression, only two chords Cm G.

The harmony employs a non-harmonic chord G and a sci-fi progression in the bridge.

I doubled note values to make sightreading easier for beginners. The track isn't recorded in the 2/2 time.

“Take Me to the Beach” is composed with a straight rhythm in common time. Accent strong beats but do it softly.

The left-hand texture is thick and makes great use of the bass register.

The right hand imitates vocal delivery by Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons: a predominant articulation is staccato.

Pitch inflections (slurred notes) are played quietly.

Focus on precise rhythm in the rap part. It is tiring to play with forte touch; play pianissimo.

There are many places of an indefinite pitch notated on the tonic note C.

The melody is build to surprise, to attract attention with a rapid flow with sudden changes of direction, expressive pauses, a recitative style.

Notice the double sharp 𝄪 in the bridge.

The aesthetic value of a track is based on sound effects.
