The track is transcribed in the original key, C Sharp Minor (like "Up" by Karina), and uses extended till the seventh or ninth degrees major and minor chords C♯m E F♯m B G♯ D♯. The harmony employs distantly related chords G♯ and D♯.

Notice the ellipsis (omitted chords) that pushes the vocal forward.

"Cherish My Love" is composed with a straight rhythm in common time.

Accent strong beats but do it softly.

A twelve-note scale and a metered sheet music isn't capable to express the sound of "Cherish My Love" with its layered vocal and inflections of electronic instruments.

Avoid banging in the left hand. Play softly.

The right hand imitates the vocal delivery by ILLIT girls: a predominant vocal style is staccato.
