This arrangement preserves the original structure and musical flow of Offenbach’s Les larmes de Jacqueline while reimagining it as a duet for trumpet and piano. The trumpet carries the deeply expressive and lyrical main melody, while the piano provides the surrounding musical textures. Elements from both the piano and orchestral versions are incorporated to create a rich and expressive accompaniment, with certain passages adjusted to suit the trumpet’s range and character. The highest note is C#6.
