Mayohiga for Flute
Mayohiga (quoted from Wikipedia)
Mayohiga is a mystical house in the mountains that is said to bring wealth to those who visit it, or a legend about those who visit the house, which is passed down in the Tohoku and Kanto regions. This legend became widely known when folklorist Kunio Yanagita introduced it in "63" and "64" of "Tono Monogatari".
According to "Tono Monogatari", Mayohiga is a mysterious house that bestows wealth and nobility to those who visit it, and visitors are allowed to take any item from the house. However, not everyone can receive this blessing, and "63" is the success story of the wife of the Miura family who was granted wealth because she was selfless, while "64" is the failure story of a young man who was denied wealth because he guided a greedy villager.
The bell-like sound is made using gangle (a bell worn around the ankle) so that it can be played simultaneously with the flute.
