Angels We Have Heard on High (Christmas carol)-Traditional

✨ A Christmas story told through the piano…

Imagine a peaceful winter night in Bethlehem. The stars shine above the quiet hills, a golden light glows in the distance, and suddenly the silence is filled with the heavenly song of angels announcing the birth of Jesus.

Their joyful message travels across the hills and into the hearts of all who hear it. The music seems to float through the winter sky, carrying a message of hope, peace, and wonder. 🌟

This beautiful Christmas carol has its roots in the traditional French hymn Les Anges dans nos campagnes. Its familiar English version was adapted by James Chadwick in the 19th century. The beloved refrain, Gloria in excelsis Deo — “Glory to God in the highest” — celebrates the angelic announcement of Christ’s birth.
