Alas! and Did My Savior Bleed (At the Cross) (Congregational Worship Arrangement (F, E, D keys)) Hymn 359 (UMH)

Hymn 359, "Alas! and Did My Savior Bleed," is originally written in the key of E.
Since the overall melody range isn't too high, I also arranged it in a higher key (F major) for a brighter, more uplifting feel, and a lower key (D major) to allow for more comfortable congregational singing.
This arrangement is specifically designed for congregational worship. Therefore, it is strongly melody-driven, and I purposefully avoided overly complex jazz chords that might distract from the reverent atmosphere and the deep meaning of the lyrics.
Please note that this is not a traditional four-part harmony arrangement, so it is not suitable for choir performances. However, it is absolutely perfect for solo piano accompaniment during church services, or as reflective background music for silent meditation and prayer before the service begins.
I created this arrangement with churches in mind that might not have a full praise band or choir. Even with just a single piano, you can deliver a rich and full musical expression. I sincerely hope this sheet music brings deep emotion and grace to your worship experience.
