"Ombra mai fu" (Italian: Ombra mai fu) is an aria at the beginning of Act 1 of Handel's opera *Serse, Xerxes*. It is sung by the title character, King Serse (Xerxes I) of Persia. The key is F major. The lyrics express love for the shade of a plane tree.
