⚡The original piano on the record part is not a one-take acoustic recording. It layers several chord tremolos with different sound qualities (attacks, echoes) added in post-production. You will never sound this way. Most importantly, it has G chord as drone throughout the whole track. Max Martin does drones a lot but drones rarely suit live playing.
🗝️ The track is transcribed in the original key G Major, the second most-used by Swift tonality.
🔠 Chords are G Em C Am. Its cyclical chord change (loop) highlights melodic development.
🎤 The vocals are typed using the 𝄠 suboctave clef (the treble clef with the numeral 8 below it). Play the right hand at written pitch but sing one octave lower than written.
🔢 “Eldest Daughter” is composed with a straight rhythm in the common time. Accent strong beats. Use staccato touch.
🎶 The melody is build on stepwise motion. Nothing radical or experimental is allowed on wedding ballads.
