🎹 I attached both versions (solo and duet) for the price of one. Original lyrics and harmony chords are included in the sheet music.
🗝️ The track is transcribed in the original key A Flat Major.
🔠 Chords are A♭ D♭ E♭ and one Fₘ in the bridge.
This simple progression was used to be sonically available to unexperienced listeners.
The progression is cadential. You might as well play everything as power chords (omitting the third degree) to support the punk sound.
🔢 “Drop Dead” is composed with a straight rhythm in the common time. Accent strong beats.
I doubled note values to make sightreading easier for beginners.
🙅🏼 Avoid learning both hands together; you will fail immediately and abandon the score.
🤚🏼 The left-hand provides an accompaniment. On the recording guitars carry the majority of the instrumentation.
🖐🏼 The right hand imitates vocal delivery by Olivia Rodrigo: legato and staccato are used in one phrase.
⏳In the second rapped verse the percussive vocal delivery used to accentuate the impact of that section. Focus on precise rhythm in the rap part. Rap is tiring to play with forte touch; play pianissimo.
It's of an indefinite pitch in a recitative style but I arranged it into a small pretty melody.
🎶 The bridge and the outro is transcribed as close to the original as possible.
🥈 The second voice can be omitted by beginners.
