“Raise y_our glass Sheet Music”

The track is transcribed in the original key, A Flat Major, and uses many major and minor chords including non-harmonic D♭m and C. It is unusual to sue a major key for a sad ballad, so using several scratchy non-harmonic chords was necessary to color the sound in sophisticated undertones.

“Raise y_our glass” is composed with swinged rhythm in the quadruple time. I always notate this combination as 12/8 as recommended with modern guidelines. Notating scores exactly as they should be performed make music more accessible for self-taught amateurs.

Avoid learning both hands together in the very beginning; you will fail immediately and abandon the score.

The left-hand provides an accompaniment.

The right hand imitates vocal delivery by Huh Yunjin: the predominant articulation is staccato.

In slurred passages, descending inflections are played diminuendo >.

The false ending of the bridge releases tension so the repeated chorus doesn't sound dull after an intense bridge.

Much of the song’s aesthetic value is generated through unconventional tonal behavior that adds movement and tension.
