There are two files in the package: easy solo and Duo Piano + Voice.
The track is transcribed in the original key, A Major, and uses basic major and minor chords A C♯m F♯m D E.
Its cyclical chord change (loop) highlights melodic development.
Alterations to the chord change between parts create harmonic ambiguity much needed in a such simple song.
I doubled note values to make sightreading easier for beginners.
“Stay a Little Longer” is composed with a straight rhythm in duple time 6/8. Accent strong beat 1.
In the duo file avoid learning both hands together in the very beginning; you will fail immediately and abandon the score. Learn the right hand first. I am sure that the score is as accurate as possible.
Notice that the guitar solo is written out on the vocal line.
Notice that in the chorus Rosé sings with soft attack and uses cercar la nota (It., ‘look for the note’). It is a vocal technique where you first sing a note lower or higher the intended note. First note is softer.
In the solo file the right hand imitates vocal delivery by Rosé of Blackpink: a predominant articulation is staccato.
Pitch inflections (slurred notes) are played quietly. Accent the guitar solo part.
The left-hand provides an accompaniment. Play any pattern here (chords, arpeggios, tremolo, ostinato).
