Hi, I am Rita. I transcribe piano sheets for popular music. All my sheet music are accurate but simple, beginner-level transcriptions with lyrics (singing is good for health) and harmonic chords. I consider reasonable requests. Sometimes I post free files, don't miss it!
“Maestro”
Imitate the vocal delivery by SEVENTEEN boys or it won't sound as the song. The vocal part is whispered and flat in delivery. It produces not much of a melody for the right hand. The melodic line is built on repetition of one note. The composition lacks intervallic saturation thus its artistic meaning and expression suffer. A predominant vocal style is staccato.
"Maestro" is played with a swinged rhythm with triplets in quadruple time 4/4 but I always write out swinged songs into 12/8. I also doubled the note values to make sightreading easier for you and now it's in a compound time 6/4. The score is readable and precise. Notice that the first occurrence of the pre-chorus (measures 49 and on) was sung with a straight rhythm in 4/4 time, without swing.
Count outloud; accent strong beats to maintain a steady pulse. Practice slowly along with the recording of "Maestro."
Play every part differently, as expressively as possible. If some notes are too difficult to play, omit them focusing on emotions instead of sightreading.
"Maestro" is transcribed in the original key, E Minor, and uses basic major and minor chords Em D C G Bm. The underlying harmony lacks motion and is fundamentally static: there is no sense of harmonic progression. Its only use is to mark time.
