This arrangement of “Graceful Ghost Rag” for trumpet and piano closely reflects the original score and its distinctive musical character. The original key of B-flat minor has been transposed to A minor to better suit the range and playing characteristics of the trumpet. While preserving the memorable melodies and characteristic ragtime rhythms of the original, selected notes in the piano accompaniment have been added or omitted to achieve a natural balance and practical performance.
