This arrangement of Carlos Gardel’s Por Una Cabeza preserves the original structure and musical flow while reimagining the piece as a duet for trumpet and piano. The trumpet performs the captivating main melody as well as the violin solo passage that follows the first theme. The piano accompaniment draws primarily from the second violin’s countermelodies while incorporating other characteristic elements of the original to capture its rich and dramatic tango atmosphere.
