여름의 끝자락 (for Viola and Piano)-Kim Dong-ryul

Kim Dong-ryul’s emotional ballad “At the End of Summer” is presented here in a lyrical duo arrangement for solo instrument and piano. The structure of the original song is faithfully preserved, allowing its warm and reflective atmosphere to unfold naturally in an instrumental setting. The solo instrument performs the vocal line with expressive phrasing and gentle lyricism, conveying the nostalgic character of the melody. The piano accompaniment supports the musical flow by recreating the harmonic background and rhythmic elements of the original song. This arrangement offers performers an intimate chamber interpretation of one of Kim Dong-ryul’s beloved ballads, making it well suited for recitals and expressive concert programs. The required positions extend up to 1st position for violin, 3rd position for viola, and 3rd position for cello, offering comfortable technique with expressive musicality.
