Nothing but the Blood (Congregational Accompaniment Arrangement (G, F, E Keys)) - Hymn BH 135

I brought "Nothing but the Blood" as a Lent hymn.

Verse 1 is played according to the sheet music, and Verse 2 is played freely in a ballad style. Recently, many people sing this song slowly as a ballad. When I was young, it was often sung in a fast, rhythmic revival meeting style... However, in main Sunday services, it's usually sung at a moderate to slightly upbeat tempo. If you want a faster feel, you can add more to the left hand based on the score.

This arrangement is designed for congregational praise during worship. Therefore, it focuses heavily on the melody and avoids excessive jazz chords that might distract from the worship and lyrics.

Since it is not in the traditional 4-part harmony, it cannot be used for choir accompaniment. It would be ideal for church services accompanied by a single piano, or for meditation and prayer time before worship.

This arrangement was created for churches without a full praise band or choir. Even with just a single piano, you can achieve rich musical expression, and I pray that you experience deeper inspiration and grace.
