One Summer's Day (Advanced Piano Solo / PDF + MusicXML / 3 Pages)-Joe Hisaishi

The original is so beautiful that I kept the arrangement as close as possible to it through the middle,

then made it fuller from the midpoint onward.

The original has a gentle mood, but I’m a big fan of dramatic arcs, haha.

I wanted a more dramatic presentation, so I added a key change!!

I’m completely delighted with how this piece turned out!!

This piece is easy, yet difficult.

The technique is straightforward, so it may look easy, but once you play it,

there are many changes in expression and many passages that require a delicate touch.

Because the expression changes often, it may be difficult to capture the feel

by reading the notes alone, so for the first time I added detailed expression markings.

I hope they help as you play.

I added more detailed expression markings after recording, so

some written markings differ slightly from the performance. The markings in the score are correct.
