Description
Arirang — Clarinet Quartet
Theme and Festive Variations
Arranged by paganic
This arrangement brings the lyrical beauty and festive spirit of the Korean folk song Arirang to three B♭ clarinets and bass clarinet.
A gentle opening in 3/4 preserves the familiar melody’s warmth before a sudden shift into lively 6/8 variations. Melodic exchanges between the parts, a brief bass clarinet solo, and a contrasting minor passage lead to a bright, spirited finale.
Performance time: approximately 3 minutes.
