Cantata BWV 106 Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit (Four hands, Duet)-J.-S. Bach

This is the piece from Four Hands: Two Sonatas that Jung-yo and Pio play together in the piano storage room, Jung-yo’s hideaway, in Episode 3 — the beautiful reconciliation scene.

The piece is Bach’s Cantata BWV 106, Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit (“God’s Time Is the Best”).

It appears again in Episode 8, when Pio plays it to comfort and heal himself while going through a slump, and once more in the finale as Jung-yo and Pio’s final(?) four-hands performance together.

This sheet music is for two players (piano duet / four hands).

If you would like both the piano solo and four-hands duet versions, the set is available here:

I created this arrangement with reference to Bach’s original work, as well as existing piano solo and four-hands arrangements.

Two versions are included, with a slight difference in the melody:

1. Version used in the performance video above
File name: Duet_Ver.F_듀엣_바흐칸타타106_신의시간Bach_106

2. Version based on the commonly performed arrangement, with the second flute part transposed one octave higher
File name: Duet_Ver_K_듀엣_바흐칸타타106_신의시간Bach_106(Fl2_oct_high)

Hope you enjoy playing it! 🤗
