The track is transcribed in the original key, D Flat Minor, and uses basic major and minor chords A♭ B♭m G♭maj7.
The chord change is cyclical.
Notice the ellipsis (the omitted chord) in the measure 57.
“Supernova Love” is composed with a straight rhythm in common time. Accent strong beats but do it softly.
A twelve-note scale and a metered sheet music isn't capable to express the sound of “Supernova Love” with its layered vocal and digitally generated inflections.
The left-hand fulfills an accompanying role. Play any pattern (chords, arpeggios, tremolo, ostinato).
The right hand imitates vocal delivery by IVE members: a predominant articulation is non-legato.
Pitch inflections (slurred notes) are played quietly.
Focus on precise rhythm in the rap part (the bridge). It is tiring to play with forte touch; play pianissimo.
The aesthetic value of a track is based on using of the familiar melody from Ryuichi Sakamoto's track Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence that went viral through Tiramisu Cake by We Are The Night (위아더나잇).
