"Nobody Knows"

The track is transcribed in the original key, C Major, and uses extended and inverted major and minor chords C Am/F (or Fmaj7) G G/E (or Em7). It depends on do you perceive the chord as minor or major.

The vocals are typed using a n optional 𝄠 suboctave clef (the treble clef with the numeral 8 below it). You need to decide in which octave sing and play the score. Upright pianos sound better in higher register.

"Nobody Knows" is composed with in triple meter 3/4 with swing. I included two files: in 3/4 with triplets and in 9/8 with swing written out. They are identical music sheets, choose what is easier to count for you.

Accent the strong beat but do it softly.

The left-hand texture is thick and makes great use of the bass register. Shawn Mendes used a lot of soft guitar stumming. Play any pattern (chords, arpeggios, tremolo, ostinato) instead of strumming.

The right hand imitates the vocal delivery by Shawn Mendes: a predominant vocal style is legato but separate phrases.

Pitch inflections (slurred notes) should be played quietly. There is slight rubato in his singing.

The aesthetic value of a track suffers due to a loosely organized melody.
