"Starry Night"

The track is transcribed in the original key, E Flat Major, and uses basic major and minor chords E♭ B♭ Cm A♭ and Fm Gm in the bridge, so six degrees of E Flat Major scale are used.

"Starry Night" is composed with a straight rhythm in common time.

Accent strong beats but do it softly.

A twelve-note scale and a metered sheet music isn't capable to express the sound of "Starry Night" with its layered vocal and inflections of electronic instruments.

If you chose the intermediate score to learn, learn the left hand first and avoid learning both hands together in the very beginning. Patience is a virtue. Otherwise you will fail immediately and abandon the score.

The left-hand maintains movement with ostinato.

The right hand imitates the vocal delivery by Fifty Fifty girls: a predominant vocal style is semi-staccato. It is easier to sing high notes with a detached technique.

Pitch inflections (slurred notes) should be played quietly.

The melody is build to surprise a listener, to attract and retain attention. It has a rapid flow with sudden changes of direction, expressive pauses, a recitative style.

The commercial value of the track suffers due to not using the hook more.
