This piano piece is a re-articulation of a traditional Christian hymn 'Great is Thy Faithfulness' in the key of Eb major. At the heart of this hymn is the idea that God is with us not only in dramatic ways, but also in ordinary ways. I have tried to articulate this 'divine normality' in a semi-classical calming vibe with a light touch of jazz harmony. This song has emerged out of my project, which is to make reflective piano pieces, drawing upon inspirations that traditional hymns may offer to our everyday lives.
