Today, I’m performing "Waiting for the First Bus Again" by Jung Tae-chun, a legendary figure in Korean folk music known as the "Poet of the Times."

Released in 1993 as part of his 8th album, 1992 Rainy Season, in Jongno, this song was born during a period when Jung Tae-chun was leading a fierce movement against music censorship in South Korea. The lyrics depict the despair and isolation of the "last bus," yet ultimately yearn for the "sun-drenched first bus"—symbolizing an artist's noble resolve to endure a painful era and dream of a new spring of hope.
