This arrangement of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Requiem in D minor, K. 626, was crafted for brass ensemble and timpani, preserving the formal structure, contrapuntal texture, and harmonic proportions of the original work. The instrumentation consists of 2 trumpets, 1 horn, 2 trombones (or 1 trombone and 1 euphonium), tuba, and timpani, forming a chamber setting that retains the sonic depth and solemn character of the Requiem.

The vocal and instrumental lines were condensed and reorchestrated with emphasis on voice leading and harmonic clarity. The balance between brilliance and sonorous depth was carefully shaped to highlight the dynamic nuances and dramatic intensity inherent in Mozart’s writing.
