“Cupid's Girl Sheet Music”

There are two pdf's attached, one is in a smaller font with 4 pages and the other is poor-vision friendly with 7 pages. The scores are identical.

The most notorious feature of this song is that the tonic is never used in its harmonization. It is called "absent tonic" and brings out the anxious sound. The tonality is C Minor, but chords used are G B♭ A♭ (Gm is used in the bridge). I know that Marina writes the melody but not sure whether she harmonizes her songs or it is a producer who does it.

Moreover, you can see the friction between the melody and harmony (B natural tones over B♭ harmony).

“Cupid's Girl” is a fast-tempo track composed with straight rhythm in common time. Accent strong beats.

The left-hand provides an accompaniment. Notice the tremolo signs in the left hand..

The right hand imitates vocal delivery by Marina: the predominant articulation is tenuto non-legato.

I added the ah's in the bridge on an ossia stave, I don't like them so you can skip playing it if you wish.

The melody is build with a rapid flow but never releases its tension. It should sound intense.

Much of the song’s aesthetic value is generated through the one note melody, the signature Marina's style.
