Background of "A Time For Us"
"A Time For Us" is the theme song from the 1968 Paramount film "Romeo and Juliet," directed by Franco Zeffirelli and composed by the Italian composer Nino Rota. The film's score was highly acclaimed, especially this theme, which embodies both romance and tragedy. The song was later given English lyrics by Larry Kusik and Eddie Snyder and has been covered by numerous artists, becoming a timeless love ballad.
