String Quintet in C major, MH 187| NOTTURNO (Quintetto concertant pour deux violons, deux altos et violoncelle)-Johann Michael Haydn

For a long time, the work was believed to be by Michael's older brother and was published for years as Franz Joseph Haydn's opus 88.

The edition that Artfonía presents today is of the complete work and contains all four movements and their respective instrumental parts.

This work is very difficult to find in any edition other than the battered and ancient version that has been circulating on the internet for years, produced by the 18th-century publisher "Ofenbach *m, chez Jean André."
