This was a piece I've always wanted to arrange and play of the instrumental from Encounter titled "Before I Met You", but honestly I think "Soo Hyun's Theme" is the better alternative. My arrangement includes a some typical piano embellishments: alternating semiquaver notes, consecutive sixths, lower octave bass notes, and arpeggios in spaces where the Strings (in the original track) were holding and drawing out notes.
The original instrumental uses violins with dissonant intervals and Strings for dramatic effect and build up. It appropriately depicts Soo Hyun's internal struggle over deciding whether to stay within the externally-imposed boundaries set over her own life (in most cases, selfishly, by others), or whether to choose that life of happiness with the guy she's come to love.
