Encounter is definitely one of my favourite Kdrama soundtracks. Like the TV Series Secret Garden, it's rare to find so many good songs all in one.
This instrumental which as its full Korean title "그 남자 진혁, 그 여자 수현" (or "That Man Jin Hyuk, That Woman Soo Hyun") suggests, is about the two main characters. It usually plays in scenes when they're thinking of each other, or when they're together but are being shy with each other... yeah, those kind of scenes... so the shorter title on the soundtrack is "Love Birds" (no kidding!).
I'm not exactly sure which genre of music it should fall under, but the song style and mood reminds me very much of those gentle, lullaby-like instrumentals from movie soundtracks like Out of Africa and La Mome.
