The chords progression is cadential.
🎤 The vocals are typed using the 𝄠 suboctave clef (the treble clef with the numeral 8 below it). Play the right hand at written pitch bus sing one octave lower than written. I marked the second voice (the echo) with green notes without lyrics.
🔢 “The Fate Of Ophelia” is composed with a straight rhythm in the common time.
The phrases length in the verses is 5 measures. One measure is hanging.
The accompaniment is simple to play but as close as possible to the original instrumentation of the record.
🎶 The melody reuses motives from the verses in the chorus. I don't even need to look at the co-writers: Max Martin does it all the time. It hooks but a little bit boring to my taste. I also hate the feeling when a melody stuck in my head.
🌉 The false ending of the bridge releases tension so the repeated chorus doesn't sound dull after an intense bridge.
