1:09 8-beat ballad ver.
I'm going to point out one more time about a performance that's easy to make mistakes. When you play an 8-beat basic rhythm, you have to play the bass note together if the chord changes.
You know, right?
What's easy to make a mistake here is It's not when "chord" changes, but when "base note" changes. Please remember this. Even if the bass notes change once, you have to play both hands together to express the identity of the chord.
G/D-D7, C/D-D7, D/A-A7, etc.
The chords are different, but if the bass notes are the same, you have to keep the rhythm. If the roots are the same, it's a family.
When I play 11th bar of D/A-A7 for 3 beats and 1 beat, I don't know what to do with my left hand. Take a break for 2 beats. It's not hard for the previous 2 beats, right?
The D/A-A7 in the back has the same bass note. That's how you keep your rhythm. The chord changes, so when A7 comes out, you can't play both hands at once.
But, of course, it's possible if the performer has a special intention. It's easier said than done, but you might be playing it differently.
From now on, take a good look at your performance and modify it if it was different...!!
