🗝️ The track is transcribed in the original key C Minor. In the Dream-dream bridge the instrumental part plays in C natural while Miley still sings in C Minor. Friction between melody and harmony leads to blurring of the harmonic center. The track ends one tone lower than C on Bb to destabilize the sound.
🎤 The vocals are typed one octave higher than sung. Miley Cyrus has a low voice. The predominant articulation is tenuto.
In slurred passages, descending inflections are played diminuendo >, but ascending vocal portamento are played crescendo <.
