The track is transcribed in the original key, A Major, and uses extended till the sixth and ninth degrees major and minor chords A G♯ G F♯. The progression is atonal and static.
The vocals are of an indefinite pitch. I find the B tone the closest match to Doecii's tone. The predominant articulation is staccato. Focus on precise rhythm in the rap part. It is tiring to play with forte touch; play pianissimo.
I doubled note values to make sightreading easier for beginners.
“Denial Is a River” is composed with a straight rhythm in common time. Accent strong beats.
