The track is transcribed in the original key, D Minor, and uses basic major and minor chords D Dₘ Gₘ B♭ F C.

You can imagine how an alternative harmony (D C A) was added by Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear to create a unique sound.

I doubled note values to make sightreading easier for beginners.

“Beyond” is composed with a straight rhythm in common time. Accent strong beats.

The left-hand provides an accompaniment. Play any pattern here (chords, arpeggios, tremolo, ostinato).

The right hand imitates vocal delivery by Auli'i Cravalho: a predominant articulation is pushing tenuto.

Pitch inflections (slurred notes) are played quietly.

Much of the song’s aesthetic value is generated through simplicity that sounds authentic and sincere.
