“Charybdis”

The track is transcribed in the original key, D Flat Major, and uses basic major and minor chords D♭ B♭m G♭ F A♭ B𝄫. The harmony employs a distantly related theoretical chord B𝄫 for dissonance.

“Charybdis” is composed with a straight rhythm in compound time 5/4 taken from "Mission: Impossible". It compounds 3+2 quarter notes. The unusual (odd) time provides with a felling of adventure, movement.

Avoid learning both hands together in the very beginning; you will fail immediately and abandon the score.

The left-hand maintains movement the ostinato.

The right hand imitates vocal delivery by Jorge Rivera-Herrans: a predominant articulation is tenuto.
