Blessed Assurance - Rachmaninov Paganini Rhapsody Var.18 for Piano Solo-Phoebe Palmer Knapp / Fanny Jane Crosby, Arr. Peaceful Mind

Blessed Assurance Meets Rachmaninoff: A Triumphant Piano Solo for Worship and Recital

A bold, soaring hymn meets a moment of pure tenderness. “Blessed Assurance” (This Is My Story) drives this piano arrangement with powerful, full-voiced conviction from start to finish. Then, briefly, the hymn gives way to the gently floating theme of Rachmaninoff’s Variation 18 from Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, played softly, like a quiet whisper of grace, before the hymn’s strength returns.

Perfect for church services, offertory, prelude, special music, and recitals. It will move congregations who love the hymn and audiences who love Rachmaninoff. With original harmonization, voicing, and smooth transitions, it is a rewarding piece for pianists who want something both familiar and fresh.
