🎼 About the Piece

Kolling’s Fluttering Leaves is a light and graceful character piece that paints the image of leaves moving quickly through the air with delicate fingerwork and flowing motion.

Its charm comes from its gentle sparkle and clear imagery, giving young performers a chance to create a vivid musical scene that feels elegant, airy, and full of movement.

✨ Sheet Music Highlights

This sheet music is a strong competition choice for students who want a piece with beautiful imagery, clear technical purpose, and an attractive sound that listeners can understand immediately.

The writing helps develop even finger movement, light articulation, rhythmic steadiness, and the ability to make a small character piece sound polished and complete.

🎹 Competition Recommendation Points

The fluttering musical image offers scope to demonstrate agility with a sensitive touch, making controlled lightness and expressive detail valuable features of a competition performance.

Keep the moving notes even without accenting every subdivision, shape their rise and fall in longer gestures, and preserve clear releases so that the texture retains its airy movement.

Have a happy performance!
