I Love You My Jesus (from Practical Accompaniment Scorebook Vol. 7)-박재윤, Kim Seong Su

This 10-page three-staff intermediate piano accompaniment score for “I Love You My Jesus” is included in Practical Accompaniment Scorebook Vol. 7. It includes lyrics but no chord symbols.

There is a long open space after each vocal phrase, and the piano melody sings through it. The seller describes this as a conversation or back-and-forth exchange; the musical term is call and response.

Beginners can feel uncomfortable with songs that leave this much space. Use those moments to practice creating your own melody and telling your own story. The arranger recommends it as useful training.

Come to think of it, “I Love You, My Jesus” may once have been the arranger’s Gmail signature. May every accompanist experience the joy of heaven.
