古筝三重奏“邓丽君组曲” Guzheng Trio “Teresa Teng Suite”-Teresa Teng

In 2015, Prof. Cynthia Hsiang adapted five popular Teresa Teng songs, including "Night Fragrance," "Sweet Honey," "I Only Care About You," "The Moon Represents My Heart," and "Don't Pick the Wildflowers by the Roadside," into a Guzheng Trio titled "Teresa Teng Suite." The music breaks free from the traditional pentatonic scale of Chinese music, presenting itself in a chamber music-like form, filled with musical freedom and expansiveness. Teresa Teng (1953-1995), originally named Deng Lijun, was a Taiwanese female singer. She was a representative figure in late 20th-century Chinese pop music, with her songs being widely popular among Chinese communities worldwide. She is considered a legend in the Chinese music industry, unparalleled and unsurpassable.
