This is an arrangement of the globally cherished classic hymn, "I Am Thine, O Lord." It is an absolute staple during praise services and prayer meetings. While there are many contemporary arrangements available featuring smooth jazz harmonies or modern 16-beat funk grooves, I intentionally chose a classic "shuffle rhythm" for this piece.
The primary purpose of this score is to support congregational singing during main, traditional services—especially designed for solo pianists who must lead the entire congregation without a full backing band or drummer.
To achieve this, I kept the main melody line completely intact within the accompaniment instead of omitting it. While playing purely rhythmic comping without the melody can sound more sophisticated, in reality, many worship leaders and congregation members are non-professionals who rely heavily on the piano to guide their pitch. Clearly defining the melody on the keys provides essential stability for everyone singing along.
As a performance note, I have modified the final line with the fermata into a smooth 6/4 time signature to allow for a more natural breathing pulse. Please listen to the demonstration video as a stylistic reference for leading your congregation.
