This is an arrangement of the beloved classic hymn, "Saviour, Thy Dying Love" (also known as "Something for Thee"). The first verse is played cleanly according to the reharmonized sheet music, while the second verse steps outside the standard structure to express a more free, flowing ballad style.
I have prepared this arrangement in the keys of G, F, and E major to provide a more comfortable and stable vocal range for your congregation compared to the original key.
Since the primary goal is to support congregational singing during main services, it is highly melody-driven. I have purposefully avoided overly complex or heavy jazz chords that might distract from the message of the lyrics and the reverent atmosphere of worship.
Please note that since this is not a traditional four-part harmony arrangement, it is not suitable for choir accompaniment. However, it is absolutely perfect for solo piano accompaniment during church services, or as reflective background music for silent meditation and prayer before the service begins.
I created this arrangement with smaller churches in mind that may not have a full praise band or choir. Even with just a single piano, you can deliver a rich and full musical expression. I sincerely hope this sheet music brings deeper grace to your worship experience.
If you prefer this arrangement in a different key, please feel free to leave a comment!
