This is an arrangement of the classic hymn, "In My Heart There Rings a Melody." The original key is Ab major, but I have also prepared it in lower keys (G and F major) to provide a more comfortable vocal range for your congregation.
In the demonstration video, I played in the key of G major—keeping the first verse clean and traditional as written, and transitioning into a freer, more reharmonized ballad style for the second verse.
Since the primary goal is to support congregational singing during main services, it is highly melody-driven. For the left hand, I simplified the patterns to maintain a steady and clear pulse. To make the score accessible for beginner accompanists, I chose simplified chord symbols. However, playing loosely based only on the chord letters might conflict with the beautiful voicings intended in this arrangement. If something sounds slightly unusual while playing, I highly recommend following the exact notes written on the staff. The reharmonization has been carefully done to enrich the piece while preserving the reverent atmosphere of worship. ^^
If you prefer this arrangement in a different key, please feel free to leave a comment!
