- This is a magnificent track in the album "Humanity - Chapter III". The theme of Chapter III is LOVE, pure, sweet and simple. This album is so much more intimate than all the other chapters, and almost exclusively orchestral and choral. “Butterflies”, with mix of syncopating rhythms and ostinatos, conveys the feeling of butterflies in your stomach as you think about someone special you just met. Thomas Bergersen explained: “I tried to capture that excitement and rush. The playful piano ostinato is a continuation of the piano concept from “Sparks”.
- I arranged this piece in two pianos to catch the epic sound effects in this piece, and show them with unique sound of piano.
- This arrangement is quite difficult to play; appropriate simplification recommended for performing as needed.
