This is an arrangement of the globally beloved classic hymn, "I Must Tell Jesus All of My Trials." I initially completed the scores in the keys of D, C, and Bb major, but due to several requests from accompanists who prefer the traditional range, I have added the original Eb major score to complete this set.
The standard four-part harmony found in traditional hymnals is fundamentally written for choir voices rather than a dedicated piano accompaniment. When a solo pianist plays directly from those traditional vocal layouts, the sound can often feel muddy or overly basic. To overcome this, I redesigned the piece specifically for the piano keyboard, weaving in textured sonorities tailored for a single instrument.
The primary goal of this arrangement is to fully support congregational singing during main traditional services. As a crucial performance tip, please ensure your left-hand touch remains soft and gentle. Keeping the left-hand bass lines understated and clean is the key to unlocking the warm, lyrical, and comforting harmonic textures built into this reharmonization. I created this with smaller churches in mind, hoping a single piano can deliver a profound and abundant worship experience.
