Well then, my patient aesthetes and aestheticettes!
You asked for it — I delivered.
Though let’s be honest… you’ve been waiting for a hellishly long time.
Roughly nine years.
No, that’s not a joke. Nine. Years.
A child could’ve made it to third grade by now,
and I was still saying:
“Soon, almost done, just a few tweaks…”
What can I say in my defense?
Heh-heh...
Honestly — I’m sorry.
🕯️ But now — to the point.
My piano arrangement of "Book of Circus" from the anime Black Butler —
yes, that one. The legendary, nearly mythical one.
BUT! Don’t get your hopes too high.
This is not the same version I played back in the prehistoric YouTube era.
(Here’s a link if you want to feel the difference — and maybe a bit of nostalgia:

This version is more mature, more restrained,
closer to the original — but still full of my signature piano deviations…
I mean, refinements.
🎼 Sheet music? Yes, it exists!
This time I didn’t get lazy —
I actually wrote down the notes.
Ah, the digital age — where everything comes in elegant PDFs.
🧐 A few words about Black Butler itself.
Yes, the animation style has changed.
Yes, instead of new scenes we get layers of flashbacks.
Yes, the pacing’s a little tight.
But it still works.
Victorian gothic, that faintly ominous charm,
the mysterious elegance — still holding strong.
🎻 And now — the music. Let me be serious for a second.
I genuinely love all the composers who’ve worked on this anime —
from season one to the most recent arc.
Each of them managed to capture that unique atmosphere:
sometimes sinister, sometimes tragic,
sometimes almost Shakespearean in its grandeur and doom.
— Taku Iwasaki — sheer power, poetry, and a dash of jazz.
Especially Call thy name “Stella Mystica” and The Slightly Chipped Full Moon.
What even was that? How did he do it? Genius.
— Yasunori Mitsuda — elegance, ambiance, pure sonic gentlemanliness.
His Clear the Table with its charming accordion, and Murmur —
they go straight for the soul.
— Ryo Kawasaki — fresh energy, youth, dramatic flair.
And yet, the spirit of Black Butler remains.
Especially his Waltz. Absolutely beautiful.
🎧 Listen. Enjoy.
Just like life:
You wait forever — then it’s over in minutes.
