Description
This is a four-hands piano arrangement of Chopin’s Étude Op.10 No.4.
The original musical material is preserved, while the passagework is divided between two players, making the overall technical difficulty slightly more accessible than the solo original.
There are several passages where the players’ hands overlap. For comfortable execution, the following approach is recommended:
- The 1st player (Primo) may lift the left wrist slightly and move the hand inward, closer to the fallboard.
- The 2nd player (Secondo) may keep the wrist slightly lower and more toward the outer edge of the keyboard.
These sections are marked in the score, so please take note of them during rehearsal and performance.
In addition, separate part scores are included so that this arrangement can also be performed on two pianos.
