テレパス (Album 《だから僕は音楽を辞めた》) ヨルシカ

Apologies for the sudden disappearance over the past few months!
I’ve been busy with my academic commitments, but I finally have some time to bring you my performance video. I don’t have much of a foundation in music, so there are still many areas where I’m lacking, but I hope you’ll understand. I’ll keep practicing to improve and fill in my gaps.
Unfortunately, due to equipment issues, some parts of the video were a bit choppy during editing, which caused some details not to line up perfectly—my apologies again for that.
Let me explain why I chose to adapt this particular piece. First, there was part of the motivation to ride the wave of Yorushimenz’s popularity—A-Sho is such an incredible composer. I also know my skill level is limited and that I can’t yet compare to the masters of anime music adaptations, but I’m doing my best to learn. On top of that, I truly love the music of Yoru-shika.
However, my playing abilities are still limited, and I can’t perfectly express the song’s intended feeling of loneliness and isolation amid more cheerful and joyful notes.
For the first part, my arrangement mainly sticks to the original piano, adding a little imitation of the guitar's grace notes.
In the middle, I modified the guitar section and wrote a piano solo.
Then, I changed the last part around 3:35, drawing inspiration from ZX’s cover, so I decided to omit the musical solo there.
The three choruses feature a layered right-hand harmony.
For the final chorus, I thought it could be played by the left hand in the guitar’s range, but I personally think it sounds better in the higher register (though I haven’t had the chance to practice playing it with the left hand yet).
Alright, I hope you enjoy my music, and thanks again for watching.
Also, I owe an apology to those who’ve been waiting for my Akiba update—I’ve been short on time lately, and with my limited skills, this piece needs more time and refining. Over the past few months, I’ve been focused on deepening my understanding, improving my basic skills, and learning improvisational accompaniment and harmony, as well as music theory. I’ll do my best to keep updating, and I appreciate your understanding. A-Sho is truly an amazing composer.
I also know my level isn’t on par with the top anime music arrangers, but I will keep learning and improving. I love Yoru-shika's music, but my playing is still too limited to fully showcase the loneliness and solitude embedded in the cheerful notes.
For the first part, my arrangement mainly follows the original piano, with a little guitar-like grace notes added.
In the middle, I altered the guitar part and composed a piano solo.
After that, I revised the last part around 3:35, inspired by ZX's cover, which is why I decided to skip the music solo.
The right hand in the three choruses has added layers of harmony.
The final chorus could actually be played by the left hand as the guitar part, but I think it sounds better in the higher register (though I haven’t practiced playing it with the left hand yet).
Once again, I hope you enjoy the music, and thank you for watching! I also apologize for the delay in updating Akiba—my time has been limited lately, and this piece needs more practice to perfect. My main focus over the past few months has been on learning, deepening my fundamental skills, improvisation, and music theory. I will continue to do my best to update and improve. Thanks for your understanding!
